She currently works for Empire Photography in Madison taking youth sports portraits, school pictures and graduation ceremonies. Before that, she worked for Lifetouch in Faribault, Minnesota and received a BFA in photography with a minor in journalism from the University of Wisconsin - Milwaukee. Marisa enjoys working bringing a client’s vision to life and capturing their most pivotal and memorable moments.

Photography is also her creative outlet; how she express her feelings and inner world in a way where words cannot. Her personal work draws inspiration from pictorialism, experimental processes and romanticism, utilizing light, shapes and colors to evoke longing and loss but also the light at the end of the tunnel. She also enjoys photographing the great outdoors to show how beautiful the world can be from the park down the street to iconic locations.
